Insomnia Coffee & Cookies
Problem
Create an identity and packaging campaign for Insomnia Coffee & Cookies, a cafe/bakery based in Brooklyn, New York. This company might be described as trendy, edgy, urban, expensive, and aloof.
Solution
New York City is oversaturated with brands that are “trendy.” For this project, I wanted to lean into the brand’s personality and define a recognizable aesthetic through colors and patterns. I created the type for the main logo to fit together in a slick, modern way. The patterns follow a similar style, as the aliens nestle organically amongst themselves. The secondary and tertiary marks are useful for the wide variety of products that the logo must sit on, while still maintaining brand consistency.
