Problem
Design a series of three posters and a t-shirt graphic for the Triple Moon Tour with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. The inks must be limited to 4 colors (4 layers of ink plus paper color). The posters must fit together or share themes and cannot use any photographs of Joan Jett.
Solution
Joan Jett is known for her punk music and going against the grain. With this, I used animals often associated with bad luck as the focal point for each poster. All of the typography in these posters was hand-drawn by me, designed to fit snuggly with the illustrations. While at first, all of the posters had the same color scheme, I found having a color for each poster created separation between the designs.
This project was award a Silver Award from 2025 The Real Show Competition.
